Want to start your own station?

SautiCast is built for broadcasters who already have (or will obtain) the right licences. You apply online, we provision your DJ account and mountpoint, then you connect your encoder and go live — with metadata, optional HLS, listener stats, and a modern web player for your audience.

How to apply

  1. Click Request a Station on this page and complete the form.
  2. Confirm you hold a valid broadcast licence from your regulator and music rights (collecting society or equivalent) where required.
  3. After approval, activate your DJ account from the email we send and sign in to the DJ console.
  4. Configure your encoder (below) and connect to the mount you are assigned — Legacy TCP SOURCE, Modern HTTP PUT, or HLS uploads.

Encoders we support

We support a wide range of software and hardware that can speak Icecast-style SOURCE, HTTP PUT to your mount URL, or HLS segment upload — including:

  • macOS: Audio Hijack, Rogue Amoeba ecosystem tools, ffmpeg via Terminal
  • Cross-platform: Mixxx, butt, Rocket Broadcaster, Liquidsoap, AzuraCast (remote relay), OBS Studio (with appropriate output / sidecar for audio)
  • CLI / servers: ffmpeg, GStreamer, custom automation
  • Hardware: Many hardware encoders that target Icecast or HTTP PUT — use the host, port, and credentials from your DJ dashboard.

Exact settings (URL, port, mount path, username/password) are listed in the Encoder & viz section after you log in as a DJ.
